iVisual Art Department Resource Guide is a sister company to the Reel Directory, a know and trusted brand for 30+ years. The Reel Directory provides everything you need for a successful shoot in Northern California, including Crew, Equipment, Talent & Support Service. However, the art department is so vast, that a comprehensive database can’t fit into the confines’ of the traditional Reel Directory format. Therefore, through the amazing support of all of our Art Dog friends we are now able to offer a detailed comprehensive tool to support all of our Bay Area Art Crew and Design Media Professionals.

The printed version of iVisaul is 8 ½” x 11” hardbound and will be shrink-wrapped and distributed along with the Reel Directory. The directories enjoy extensive distribution through a national book distribution house so it can be accessed in most major books stores and libraries. iVisual & Reel Directory are also distributed through direct on-line purchase, parties, events, conventions, tradeshows and local film commission offices.

We listened to all of your suggestions and found that we could implement many services that would expedite your search for Props, Set Elements, Wardrobe and Special Effects Equipment. Each listing includes contact information, web and email links, hours of operation and a detailed description of inventory and services. So, weather looking for a police car or bathroom sink, you can click through to several web sites to search for what you need. We hope to not only cut down on your workload but also your carbon footprint. The film industry, especially the art department is notorious for wasteful practices that harm the environment. That is why we are educating and encouraging the support of GREEN businesses in the entertainment industry. In fact, you will have the option to narrow your search by GREEN businesses in the drop down menu. You can click on the icons to learn more about what makes the company a green business. If they have multiple icons that means they are certified GREEN by a third party.

While the majority of the resources listed in the iVisual guide are based in Northern California, on occasion we feel it is helpful to supplement with mail order or Hollywood resources that may be difficult to find locally. You will have the ability to sort by region or county to better refine your search.

With hundreds categories and thousands of keywords, we are confident you can find what you need.
